A Look Back at Random Acts of Kindness Week

A Look Back at Random Acts of Kindness Week

It's a wrap for another amazing Random Acts of Kindness Week (Feb 9-15) and RAK Day (Feb 17). We celebrated with fun initiatives, reinforcing that kindness isn’t just a one-time effort—it’s a daily commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those around us.

Secret Agents of Kindness & Kindness Rocks

Our team embraced secret kindness missions, coming up with creative and meaningful ways to brighten a co-worker’s day. One of our favorite projects was crafting kindness rocks during lunch hour, each painted with words of encouragement and positivity. Even our patients joined in, picking up kindness rocks to share with others and contributing their own acts of kindness, proving that kindness is contagious in the best way possible.

Random Acts of Kindness Day – In Memory of Tony (1966-2021)

February 17th holds special meaning for our clinic. It’s a day we dedicate to honouring Tony, a remarkable individual who truly embodied kindness. On what would have been his 59th birthday, we were expecting to place kindness rocks throughout the community in his memory, hoping to inspire others just as he inspired us. Though freezing rain delayed this activity, these beautiful rocks will soon be making their way around Halifax.

Downtown Halifax: A Hub for Kindness
From the very beginning, Downtown Halifax has been a proud advocate of
RAK Week and Day, actively promoting kindness within our business community. We truly appreciate their commitment to cultivating a community built on kindness and compassion.(https://downtownhalifax.ca/rak)

Keep the Kindness Going
Kindness doesn’t end with RAK Week—it’s something we can practice every day. Be sure to check out our monthly Make Kindness The Norm Giveaway, where we collaborate with local businesses. It’s our way of continuing to spread positivity and celebrate those making a difference in our community.
